Matthias Scheffelmeier is a country representative at Ashoka Europe, responsible for Turkey.
He also is co-founder, owner and advisor at pocketvillage.com, a Berlin-based tech startup, travel website & software provider for the tourism industry.
Prior to being a country representative he was a program director at Ashoka in Germany. Before joining Ashoka he was Microsoft's Community Affairs (CSR) program coordinator for the Middle East and Africa region. He also is a BMW Foundation Young Leader and the winner of the 2011 BMW Foundation Young Leader Award.
He received his diploma degree (equivalent of a combined bachelor & master) in communication science at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany (being awarded the SIEMENS prize for "best thesis in communication science") and is an Alumni of AIESEC and sneep.
Matthias is fluent in German, English, and French and speaks functional Spanish and Turkish.
