The objective of the congress
The aim of the congress is to give opportunity to approach urban and environmental issues and policies in terms of social sciences (politics, economics, management, law, sociology, etc.)
Topics of the congress
1. Discussion on the city (global cities, Muslim cities, metropolis, intelligent city, rural city, garden city, Olympic city, slow city, etc.)
2. Different aspects of urbanism
3. Urban-rural dilemma
4. Theories on the origin of the city
5. Local politics
6. Green politics
7. Urban elections (comparative analyses)
8. Rural issues and policies
9. Man and woman in the city
10. Disabled people in the city
11. Urban poverty and exclusion
12. Urban and environmental rights
13. Urban transformation
14. Migration
15. And other themes related to cities like housing policies, urban rent, etc.
(The crux of the congress is to focus on above themes via using the lens of the social sciences.)
All of the papers will be sent via internet.
Abstracts should not exceed 300 words. You should send two abstracts. The first one should include your name, institution, and e-mail (for example, click here). However the other one should include only title and text of your abstract (for example, click here). You should use the format of the abstract in the full paper.
